amyninja77 asked: Hey Kratos and Anna! Looks like its still slow-going, huh? I just kinda wanted to say, don't give up! I love this story so much, and I want to read more, no matter what you do with it.
Also as far as suggestions go, I think it would be great if they ran into Yuan at one point. He'd probably be pretty bitter about the whole thing, seeing as Mithos is most likely kicking his angel butt to go help find Anna. It'd be fun to see.
~Good luck!
ooc: Wow! Thank you so much! I thought everyone had all but forgotten about our silly little blog. It brings me so much joy to see that it hasn’t been forgotten, so thank you so much again! ;u; dsbgjugs
Definitely, definitely! I totally understand where you’re coming from! I will most certainly include Yuan in the near future.
Thank you so much again!
Signed,
Kratos
Hopefully this lashing was going to end soon.
Anna couldn’t remember the number of strikes they were on. She couldn’t even remember why she had earned them at that point. Probably offended a high-ranking officer. That voice of reason always did tell her to keep her head low. But where was the fun in that?
The next slash brought her back to the present. All she ahd to do was breathe and endure a little longer. They’d get tired. Or she’d pass out. Either way, it was going to end soon. She hoped.

Anna didn’t sleep very well that night. Between the empty dreams and startling awake at almost every noise, it was a wonder she even went back to sleep. Granted, she was grateful that she hadn’t woken back up in her cell, that the whole episode the night prior had just been a dream. She wasn’t very aware of Kratos when she would wake up, though, probably because of how disoriented she was. Not like she really cared at that given time.
When she finally did wake up, it was around late morning. And Kratos was nowhere to be seen. Guess that ended that, then. After laying in the bed (imagine that, a bed. When was the last time she had slept in one?) for several more minutes to reacquaint herself to be being awake, she half-heartedly got out to stretch her limbs before crossing over to look out the window and at her first real glimpse of civilization in Martel knew how long. She’d be in awe of it later; now, she had to decide where to go next. She had a feeling this wasn’t going to go so easy. Nothing ever did go that way.

The male stood in place for a moment more before carefully walking between the two beds. He sat down upon the unoccupied one, his eyes focusing on nothing in particular.
Kratos wasn’t the type to get sleepy. No, the years spent as an angel truly limited most of his human capabilities. Sleeping, for one, was something incredibly rare for him. He would spend most of his nights looking up at the sky, counting the stars for all the time that the world slept. The number would change daily, of course, because he couldn’t possibly keep track of every single star.
Three-thousand one-hundred and fourteen he recalled was the highest he had ever counted. Such a pathetic way to spend his nights, he inaudibly laughed to himself.
His gaze fell onto his hands, which were resting on his lap. He turned them over, then back at rest. Soon bored with that, he couldn’t resist his eyes wandering to the sleeping woman in the next bed.
Anna was thin—too thin, he remarked as he could see her hips poking from beneath her tattered attire. As Kratos examined her lithe frame, he had to wonder just what sort of restrictions were placed upon her. Teetering on death daily—ugh, how twisted. It made Kratos grit his teeth a bit in frustration.
It made him wonder if Anna could have had the worst treatment of all of the other subjects. He considered this because he knew of her stature—that she was deemed the precious ‘Angelus Project’. She was strong to have survived as long as she had—and Kratos didn’t even know the full extent of it. He didn’t really want to.
Rising from his seat on the bed, Kratos wasn’t tired. He didn’t really care for sleep—even when he was capable of it in the past. Finding himself drawn to the only window in the room, he silently approached it, resting his forearm on the sill as his eyes looked beyond the glass.
Kratos reached a hand up to scratch his jawline, mind weighed with deliberation. He remained that way for what could have been hours—he didn’t really keep track. All the while he considered stepping out to retrieve something—be it food or clothing—anything that would benefit Anna in some way. She wasn’t going to last in her tattered rags and lack of nourishment.
As the sky melded with hues of pink, he decided to take his leave about the town of Asgard, all the while silent in doing so as to not disturb his new-found escape partner.
Anna: Oh. Hi. Yeah. I wasn’t able to see the ask for some reason, and just kind of forgot about it, and I can’t edit the ask for whatever reason, so. Yeah. My view is basically what Krattie said. So. Yeah. Whee.
Question with 1 note
amyninja77 asked: Hey Anna, this might have been answered before in one of your posts, but in your head canon, did Anna get special/worse treatment in the desian ranch because of the importance of the angellus project? Was just curious.
Hi there, it’s Kratos! Anna never answered this and I saw it was sitting around for a while, so I’ll answer for now—she can edit the post with her own thoughts if she likes. /nod
I feel that Anna did get more attention in the ranch—not the good kind, of course. They really had to tap into the potential of Anna, putting her in worse living conditions than the others, feeding her less, etc. While everyone got the short end of the stick, so to speak, Anna wasn’t huddled around in captivity with other people. At first, she was, but when they established she was a good match for the Angelus Project, they isolated her.
The entire time she was kicking and screaming I imagine.
But to answer your question, yes, I feel that she got more attention than the others. However, she wasn’t the first test subject. If they had an idea to make the Exspheres better, they would test it on other humans to see if it would kill them.
BUT ANYWAY. Hope that answers your question! Anna, you’re free to add in your two cents as well, considering this question was directed at you. Heh. ;u;

Hey guys, Kratos here. If you saw the tags from Anna’s last post, you’ll know that we’re pretty disorganized and usually go along with things, but.
I thought it would be fun to ask you guys what you would like their next step to be! Now, please bare in mind your suggestions have to be serious to the storyline (a few sillies are fine here and there, but let’s not go crack-crazy~).
So, send us an ask with your suggestion! Give us your ideas and feelings and all that wonderful goodness!
Thanks for the support as always. <3

His tone made Anna turn her head to look at him again. Much to her displeasure, she actually wanted him to stay at least the night, if only to help her make sure that this wasn’t just some freakish dream or experiment or whatever. That would just crush her. She sighed as she went back to looking up at the ceiling, the need for sleep becoming more apparent as she closed her eyes.
“Whatever you want,” she mumbled, though she doubted Kratos would actually hear it. And if he did reply, she probably never heard him, as she finally fell asleep.

Listening to what the woman had to say, Kratos froze with one foot outside of the door. The term ‘hell hole’ sent a chill through him—not of fear, no—but another emotion he couldn’t quite recognize.
Perhaps he should stay near Anna until she had concluded her actions… But why? Why stay? He shut his eyes as he replayed the scenario of his actions, trying so desperately to conclude why he did what he did. It was frustrating, but he couldn’t quite bring himself to just letting go of the topic.
Maybe he really was a coward—a coward too frightened to cross the line of his once-student.
…Well, it was too late now, anyway. Maybe with time he’ll understand. For now he would force himself for rid the topic from his mind.
Kratos stepped back into the room, shutting the door gently. There was a long pause, before he questioned the woman with a quiet voice:
“…Should I stay here for the night, then?”

Anna frowned. “You’ve done more than enough already,” replied. “You don’t have to risk yourself for me more than you already have.” She still couldn’t help but feel suspicious as to why he had even done anything to begin with, but that wasn’t really important at the moment. Going back would’ve been suicide. Not that she thought that Kratos was incapable or anything, but the Desians were rather unforgiving, especially when taking into consideration who ran the nearby Ranch. Just thinking about it gave her chills.
She fell backwards on the bed, rubbing her eyes with her hands. “I’ll figure something out,” she added. “I have to, unless I want to go back to that hell hole.” Which, obviously, she had no intention of doing.

So, thank you guys.
This post will be deleted at some point.
Kratos opened his mouth to respond, but he stopped himself, thinking again. Wherever he went was risky, even for him—but if he were to leave Anna alone—who knows what would happen if Kvar found her. He weighed his options after another moment of silent deliberation, and concluded it was better him than her. After all, he was a high-ranking official. One which had authority over weak Desians. He would be fine if he was apprehended by Kvar. Yggdrasill, on the other hand…
“By wandering near the ranch, I will create a diversion. If they were to look for you and found me instead, they would be preoccupied by taking me into custody, giving you more time to change locations.” He placed his hand on the door handle.
“I advise you not stay here too long.” Kratos firmly warned with a turn of the handle, the door opening with a familiar creaking noise.
For some reason, the first thing Anna seemed to notice was the fact that this was the most this guy - Kratos - had said the entire night. She chose not to relay her observation, though. That didn’t exactly seem right, saying that to him.
“What are you going to do now?” she asked, absentmindedly rubbing the Exsphere on her throat. It was none of her business, but still. There couldn’t have been many options, what with the Desians so close. Or maybe there were. She had no idea.

Kratos could feel his muscles tensing as the woman took a seat on the bed near where he stood. He proceeded to take a few steps away from his spot, his eyes focusing on everything but A012 until she told him her name.
Anna.
He couldn’t help but allow himself to glance over his shoulder at the brunette. Anna—an oddly fitting name for her. Kratos hadn’t taken any sort of time to try and consider what her true name could have been, but.
When he noticed he was looking at her, he immediately looked to the floor instead. The man couldn’t quite place why he didn’t like to look her in the eye. Perhaps it was because of the first instance when he had…
He halted his thought process. Was he supposed to introduce himself as well?
“…You’re welcome.” Surely there would be no harm in giving his name…
“…Kratos.” His voice was a mumble. He tried again, clearly this time:
“Kratos Aurion.” He said nothing more as he slowly approached the door.

For the first time that night, Anna felt herself relax quite a bit. She had no idea why; she still had no idea who this guy was or why he was even helping her, which threw up two red flags right there. But still… she felt like he was being serious, and for all she cared at the moment, that was good enough for her.
She nodded a little at the mentioning of sleep. That sounded like a wonderful idea at the moment, and she almost sank down on the bed immediately upon so, but. She still watched the man, not so much as staring anymore.
“I…” She coughed, clearing her throat before trying to speak again. “Anna. I’m Anna.” There was a pause, then she added, “Thank you again for getting me out of there.”
